Never can forget Christmas 2007 when you came to spend it with me and your grandchildren.as you walked in the door i just knew you had something to tell me your face said it all you sat down and tried to be strong.
I asked you if you had cancer and you just started to cry and told me you could fight it and everything would be OK,but as time went on you became weaker and weaker :-(
and in October 08 you went in a hospice where they got you out of pain they let you home a month before Christmas.
Then on the 2nd of Jan 09 you went back in :-(
and on 30th of Jan 09 with your partner Lin,your brother Russell, your mum ,me and Andrew by your bedside holding your hands and telling you how much we loved you.
You fell asleep at 3.10pm..........and was at peace and out of pain.
god bless Angel

Well what can we say about our Dad ? He was amazing, the best.He had to cope with so much pain through his life but would always do it with a smile on his face. Even when he ened up in a wheelchair, he still tried to carry on as normal.Even though dad was ill we wouldnt of changed him for the world, we loved him so much.
Dad loved to go fishing and shooting which he did mainly with his uncle ray & steve who was not only his cousin but his bestfriend. I know that Dad loved his trips away to Ireland fishing and his last trip away was late last year to Rays farm to go shooting.Even though dad wasnt well enough to shoot much he just loved being involved, and was more than happy to just shoot things out of the caravan door !
We loved our Dad so much and cant explain in words what he meant to us.He gave us all so many great memories, too many to mention them all but a few that spring to mind are:
When Dad got his arm stuck down the drain at Laleham, it took about 5 hours to get him out ! Only dad could do that !
Then there was dads version of the Quenn at Lalehams famous bank holiday shows, i know he enjoyed that !
And one of my most proudest moments was when dad tipped himself out of his wheelchair and into the Thames to rescue two young girls in a boat drifting down the river just outside the campsite, that made the national newspapers-he was a true hero !
I know that dad loved Laleham so much and when he fell ill and could no longer camp it was like the end of the world. But dad still carried on and even managed to get back camping last year which was so good to see as he just loved being there. He also loved seeing his three grand children, Demi , Danielle and Ellie down there, and they enyjoyed camping as much as he did.
Dad i know your probably up their now looking down on us all, and if you are, we just want to let you know one more time how much we all cared for you.
Now that you have gone our love can only grow, so one last time, we love you Dad, good bye, rest in peace .
Going to miss you so much love you Lot's you will never be forgotten
